Reactions

Reactions reveal the conditions of the heart.
In its true sense the lock down is getting on to people.But while we mourn at our freedom being curbed there are so many things to do and learn. Its a matter of mindsets and time . During such times, emotions are at our peak. We feel and say things very sharply. Do you know why ? Coz, at these times we are focusing on what we like and what we don’t. We are indeed focusing on our emotions., on us. But wait a moment, while being true to yourself, have you offended someone ? Made someone feel bad about themselves or the decision they have taken or something that was spoken ? We need to pause, and also understand the situation someone is coming from ? What makes a person do or say what he / she did. A matured reaction is often received from entirely understanding the situation.
“How people treat other people is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves.” How often have we given a reaction to something so impulsively , and silently regretted it ? Am sure, we would silently agree with ourselves, we have. Being silent or cutting away relationships is the new modern coward way of running away from situations. Wherein we fear to confront and from being pointed out wrong. So the simplest is cut the person out of our lives, what does it speak about the mindset and the person ? Its speaks volumes, person thinks highly of themselves, has weak appetite to handle relationships, wants to receive more than they can give out, is insecure, lonely at heart, lacks good genuine friends, doesn’t open their heart. When one has so many characteristics they are bound to give strong reactions to people. They often miss to overlook the good or the benefits they receive from their surroundings. 
Reactions are the acid to any relationship. I often wonder, sitting quietly how can people give strong reaction, judgments and strong point of view, when they themselves are not perfect. 
In the words of Shannon L. Alder,” Most misunderstandings in the world could be avoided if people would simply take the time to ask, What else could this mean ?
In times like these, or a time engulfed with situations accompanied with stress, it is important to take mental breaks as often as possible. Instead of reacting to every thought ,try letting it go. Your reaction is what keeps negative thoughts alive. Think positive, make peace with it and let it go. Be conscious and active in your mental space. Sometimes, a close friend with whom we share comes handy wherein we release our emotions and thoughts in its purest form, hence reactions somber down, they become meaningful and constructive. Sometimes, silently revisiting the situation also helps. 
Every time you are tempted to give someone a strong reaction, don’t forget to put yourself in the situation to see, if you were at the receiving end how would it be. Compassion is a word and emotion to be used and not just written :0)
Onca a long time ago, a shop owner placed a sign above his door that said: “Puppies For Sale to attract young children, and to no surprise, a boy saw the sign and approached the owner. Saying he wanted to buy a pup. But upon enquiring how much is the pup for. He realised he had less money,still the boy insisted on seeing the pups. On a whistle, came out lots of pups but one limped. Boy enquried,what had happened n the shopkeeper said, the pup had a joint missing n he would limo all life.. Boy,said,” he wanted the pup and would pay in full. The shopkeeper was astonished and and enquired why would he do so.. 
To his surprise, the little boy reached down and rolled up his pant leg to reveal a badly twisted, crippled left leg supported by a big metal brace. He looked up at the shop owner and softly replied, “Well, I don’t run so well myself, and the little puppy will need someone who understands!”
Reactions can just seconds to be given but sometimes lasts a long time… Be careful the next time,you are either ready to cut a relationship or speak harshly.Mental health is dependent on many matters..
