So, what can we write about the lady who has been setting the stage on fire for years together! She is known as India’s star live artist, anchor, writer, actor, curator, and named amongst the ten most influential women from the Indian Live Industry. She has chatted and hosted almost every eminent personality from across industries and continues to charm the world with her talk and a thousand-watt smile. Yes, you guessed it right. She is Gitika Ganju Dhar – a veteran orator with a stage presence like none other.
Gitika’s journey in India’s live and experiential industry spans over two decades, where she has done more than two dozen television shows and more than three thousand live events across the globe. She started her journey as a television anchor and has hosted some of the best tv shows like Sehat Ki Rasoi on E24 and News 24, Meri Saheli on Star Plus, Zaike Ka Safar on ZeeTV, Chitrahaar on DD National, Executive Class and Navrang on DD1. From there, she went on to become an emcee and has anchored some of the most incredible live projects for India like Fit India Launch, Main Bhi Chowkidar, India Event IP, IIFA Awards Press Conference, Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas, 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas, and thousands more.
As she continues to create magic on stage and screen, she is also preparing to become an actor with Amir Khan Productions’ upcoming film – Lal Singh Chadha. Soon, we will see her on the big screen and, is she excited? Just like a baby!
Gitika is a brand in herself and has worked very hard to create this status. She is recognized for her effervescent stage and screen presence and is highly-acclaimed by everyone. The former President of India, Late APJ Abdul Kalam, while praising her once said, she is an exceptionally talented anchor.
Her journey to stardom has had its share of ups and downs. But it is her never-give-up spirit that has enabled her to pull a 20-year-long stint in an industry where careers last only a while. And she gives this credit to her womanhood. She says the best part of being a woman – I am every woman, it’s all in me! I am happy that I was born a woman. Anything else wouldn’t be so edgy and fulfilling.
While she is an inspiration for many, she looks up to Joan of Arc and Jhansi ki Rani for her dose of motivation and believes in – तेरा स्मारक तू ही होगी, तू खुद अमिट निशानी थी…
Gitika has been bestowed with numerous awards and accolades and has been named Nation Builder by India Today Magazine. She was also awarded the Woman Super Achiever Award at the World Women Leadership Congress 2020 and the Best Anchor for Corporate & Lifestyle Events Award at Live Quotient Awards 2019 by EventFaqs. Her list of awards is as long as her career.
She is India’s popular choice for a host and is also the curator of The Ministry of Talk – Made in India. Her vision is to create a platform that is gender agnostic, inspiring, and providing meaningful content to the youth of today.
